LiftLink Ltd (“LiftLink”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the My LiftLink platform (the “Service”). We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of the personal data of our users (“you” or “your”).
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our website liftlink.ca, our My LiftLink mobile application, and our associated services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree to this Policy, please do not use the Platform.
- INFORMATION WE COLLECT

2.1. Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information : Full name, email address, phone number, profile photo, date of birth.
- Payment Information : Credit/debit card details, Interac information, or other payment data (processed by our secure third-party payment processors).
- Verification Information : Official photo ID (driver’s license, passport), selfie, driver’s license (for Drivers).
- Profile Information : Preferences, interests, and any other information you choose to provide.
- Communications : Content of your communications with us or with other Users via the Platform (messaging, emails, calls).
2.2. Information Collected Automatically
- Location Data : Precise or approximate location of your device when you use the Platform, including in the background (if you have consented).
- Usage Data : Ride history, bookings, cancellations, ratings, and interactions on the Platform.
- Technical Data : IP address, device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, log data, and browser information.
- Cookie Data : We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience and analyze Service usage (see our Cookie Policy).
2.3. Information from Third-Party Sources
- Identity Verification : We may receive information from our third-party identity verification providers to confirm your identity.
- Ratings and Reviews : Reviews and ratings left by other Users.
- Partners : We may receive information from business partners or integrated platforms (e.g., social networks if you log in through them).
- USE OF YOUR INFORMATION

3.1. Provide and Improve the Service
- Facilitate the matching between Drivers and Passengers.
- Process bookings, payments, and refunds.
- Personalize your experience on the Platform (e.g., Ride suggestions).
- Improve the security and reliability of the Service (e.g., fraud detection).
- Develop new features and improve existing ones.
3.2. Communication
- Send you booking confirmations, reminders, and updates about your Rides.
- Respond to your customer service requests.

- Verify your identity and eligibility to use the Service.
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and illegal or unauthorized activities.

3.4. Artificial Intelligence (Warren)
- Use AI to optimize matching, provide automated responses, and detect abnormal behavior. Anonymized or pseudonymized data may be used for training our models.
- DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose it in the following circumstances:
4.1. To Other Users
- Drivers : Your name, photo, rating, and contact information (for Trip coordination) are shared with Passengers who have booked your Ride.
- Passengers : Your name, photo, rating, and contact information are shared with the Driver of the Ride you have booked.
4.2. To Third-Party Service Providers
We share your information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Platform, including:
- Payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).
- Identity verification providers.
- Hosting and cloud service providers (e.g., AWS).
- Messaging and notification service providers.
- Analytics and marketing tools.
These providers only have access to the information necessary to perform their functions and are contractually obligated to protect it.
4.3. Legal Compliance and Rights Protection
We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that it is reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Protect the security, rights, property, or safety of LiftLink, our Users, or the public.
- Investigate suspected fraud or illegal activity.
4.4. In the Event of a Business Transaction
If LiftLink is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or control of your data.
4.5. With Your Consent
We may disclose your information for other purposes with your explicit consent.
- DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
5.1. Storage
Your data is stored on secure servers located in Canada and/or the United States, with our cloud service providers. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these countries.
5.2. Security
We implement technical, administrative, and physical security measures to protect your information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include data encryption, access controls, and regular monitoring.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
- DATA RETENTION
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies.
- Active Accounts : Data is retained for the duration of your active account.
- Inactive Accounts : If your account is inactive for more than 24 months, we may deactivate it. Associated data may be anonymized or deleted, unless we have a legal obligation to retain it.
- Deletion Request : You may request deletion of your data at any time. We will process your request in accordance with the law, but some data may be retained for legitimate reasons (e.g., fraud prevention, tax obligations).

- CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Our Service is not intended for children under 14 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. Passengers aged 14 to 17 may use the Service only under adult supervision (see Terms of Use).
